Removing factory graphics can be a difficult task. We have removed quite a few stubborn graphics and have found a method that works pretty well. Jetstyle Graphics does charge a $40 fee for removing any graphics from your watercraft. Here are a few tips if you would like to save even more money and remove the graphics yourself.
Using a heat gun warm the entire sticker to soften the adhesive underneath. A hair dryer might work also but wont be as effective. Use a plastic scraper (never metal) to peel up a corner of the sticker just enough to grab with your hands. Be careful its gonna be hot!
Continue to apply heat as you pull the sticker away
As you peel the sticker keep your grip as close as possible to the surface you're peeling from. This will prevent the decal from tearing.
Now you're just left with this sticky adhesive mess to remove.
To remove the adhesive you'll need a plastic scraper , paper towels and some type of adhesive remover. The two on the right are available at major retail stores like Wal-Mart. Make sure that the remover you use is safe for the surface you are applying it to and follow the directions on the container.
Spray the remover on and allow it to soak in.
Scrape the adhesive with the plastic scraper
Then wipe it up with a paper towel.
That's it. Factory graphics are gone and now your watercraft doesn't look like everyone else's. When you're ready to really personalize your watercraft order up some new custom graphics.
